Nurtured Skin Care was born from a personal need to create natural
ingredients that truly work. While modern medicine will always play an
important role, long-term safety is always part of the conversation. This is
why we choose to create products, close to nature as possible to support long-term use. As a PhD pharmacist, I wanted more than “natural” claims, I wanted real science behind every ingredient. Each ingredient we use is supported by published research to ensure both safety and effectiveness. We carefully study how ingredients are extracted, how they work together, and how they absorb into the skin.

How we formulate

Our formulation process begins with identifying the research question. We review scientific literature, safety data, and traditional use to guide ingredient selection. Ingredients are slowly extracted into a suitable medium and allowed time to mature. Each step is intentional and designed to support dermal absorption, stability, effectiveness and long-term safety.

What makes Nurtured Skin Care products different?

All our products are handcrafted in small batches using natural, high-quality botanical oils, herbs, and essential oils. We avoid harsh chemicals, synthetic fragrances, parabens, and preservatives. Each formula is made with intention to nourish the skin, hair, and scalp naturallywith a variety of wellness options.

Are your products safe for sensitive skin, eczema, or irritated skin?

Yes. All our products are crafted for sensitive skin. Specifically, we have the Calmi Advanced Natural Body and Calmi Hair Natural oils created for sensitive, dry, or eczema-prone skin. However, we always recommend a patch test before full use, especially if you have highly reactive skin.

Are your products 100% natural?

Yes. We use only plant-based oils, herbs, and essential oils. No synthetic fragrances, no parabens, no sulfates, and no mineral oil.

Do your products contain preservatives?

No. Our oils and butters do not contain water, so preservatives are not required. We do use Cloves and Vitamin E Oil in our formulas to help extend the shelf life.

How long do your products last? (Shelf life)

Most oils last 12–18 months when stored properly. Keep products in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, and ensure lids are tightly closed.

How soon will I see results?

You may notice softness, hydration, and reduced dryness within a few days. For concerns like eczema, hyperpigmentation, or hair growth, results vary based on consistency and skin/hair type. Many customers see improvement within 2–6 weeks.

Can I use your oils on children?

Yes our products are gentle, but please consult with a pediatrician before using herbal or essential-oil-based products on infants and young children. Always perform a patch test first.

How do I use the oils for best results?

Each product comes with usage instructions, but generally:

•Body oils:apply directly after shower or on damp skin

•Hair oils:massage into scalp 2–3 times weekly

•Face oils:apply 2–3 drops on clean, damp skin

•Calmi Advanced Natural BodyOil and Rosehip Healing Oil: apply to affected areas 2–3 times daily

We carefully source from reputable suppliers that focus on purity, ethical harvesting, and quality. Our herbs and oils are selected for potency and skin benefits.
